Zofia: The Red, White and Black Fash-hole

 Photography by Buck Wilde

Today's post comes from earlier in May when my fiance, Alex, and I attended a wedding in Washington, DC. This was the perfect occasion to show off my newest dress: a sleek all-black mini skirt with long, sheer panels and two (count 'em, two!!) side slits...oh yeah! To keep the dress simple and classy, I paired it with black ankle boots (also one of my most comfortable pair of heels--key when attending a wedding and you are a maniac on the dance floor), a white tuxedo blazer and this gorgeous silver necklace that I inherited from my late Babcia. For a little pop of color, I added a red clutch and bam! outfit was complete. The final pic is me and my boo at the reception at The Top of the Town, an amazing facility with sweeping views of all the DC monuments. Had to include it because, well, I just think my man looks damn good in a suit : )  Learn more about what I am wearing here:

Janette: The Sophisticated Shorts Fash-hole

 Photography by Zofia Glenn

Happy Friday Fash-holes! If you are in the northeast, then you too are experiencing this horribly rainy day. To cheer you up, today I am featuring this cutie I spotted out around Rittenhouse Square. What I love most about this look are her over-sized glasses and on-trend oxblood shorts. The jacket is very sweet, but could come off as too old on her if it weren't for pairing it with cute, colorful shorts and those amazing glasses! As Janette explained to me when I asked her about her style inspiration, this look is not her everyday street style, but she was out looking for a job so was more conservatively dressed than usual. I say with interview style like that, she's hired! Learn more about Janette and where to shop her look here:

Name: Janette
Age: 18
Occupation: Student at Temple University. Intern for Paula Hian
Style Inspiration/Icon: Janette explained that she was out looking for a job, so her style was a little different than her everyday street style. Normally, she wears grungy looks and likes to mix feminine and masculine pieces. Her style icons are Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (two of my all time faves also!)
Favorite Place to Shop: H&M

Angelita: The Killer Sundress Fash-hole

Photography by Zofia Glenn

Welcome back Fash-holes! Today's post comes from one of Philly's hottest spots...The Night Market! If you haven't been, it is a street food festival featuring the city's hottest restaurants and food trucks. With live music and Yards Brewing Company beer, it is a night not to be missed! This post is from the most recent Fairmount Night Market, but in case you missed it, the next one will be in West Oak Lane on June 20th. Now back to fashion....

I spotted this lovely woman as I was leaving the Night Market and had to stop her because her bold red, floral dress caught my attention right away. Not only is the color fantastic, but the cut is perfect and the flowers really pop. Add the cool and comfortable lace up gladiator sandals, a small shoulder bag and simple jewelry and you are ready for summer! But what makes Angelita a true style Fash-hole is her personality. I don't think I have had so much fun stopping to talk to someone on the street before! Real style is having confidence and grace and Angelita had both tenfold. Learn more about this amazing woman and what she is wearing here:

Name: Angelita

Whitney: The Sweet Punk Fash-hole

Photography by Zofia Glenn

Happy Mother's Day Fash-holes!  Today's post has nothing to do with Moms but it is always important to remember those awesome ladies who nurtured us into the smart, strong, confident women we are! On another note, today I am featuring this adorable lady I spotted out on Walnut Street awhile ago. I was drawn to her when I saw she had gold spikes on the tops of her socks. I mean, that is pretty fierce. Then I noticed her subtly torn pants and graphic tee, which pulled together a rocker vibe. But then she paired those pieces with a fun, brightly printed scarf, gold hoops, a top knot and a classic pea coat, adding a sweetness to her otherwise tough chick ensemble. The overall effect was just darling. Learn more about Whitney and where to shop her look here:

Zofia: The Sheer Lace Fash-hole

Photography by Buck Wilde

Happy May Fash-holes! Spring has finally fully sprung (with showers and all) and I am so excited for Spring fashion. For me, Spring means dresses, layers and romance. And this outfit perfectly combines all three.  I loved this dress the second I found it (at a Marshall's in Seattle, thank you very much) because I am really digging the sheer panels on skirts and dresses that is trending right now. But when I tried it on, I wasn't sure I was going to keep it. Then once I styled it up with some chunky jewelry, stacked bangles and rings on, added my favorite brown ankle boots and cropped denim jacket, I was back in the game! This is why I don't try on at stores often. I feel like you get a better sense of how you will wear a garment when at home where you can play with it a bit.

I'm also excited to feature some of this jewelry as it is newly acquired items passed down from my Babcia (Polish for grandmother). My Babcia passed away in February and I was in Seattle for her memorial a couple of weeks ago when we went through her jewelry. Now, my Babcia was incredibly stylish and is definitely an inspiration to me (especially after seeing old photographs of her in her 20s...she was stunning and impossibly chic) so getting to rock some of her original pieces is very special. I only hope I can do them justice! Learn where to shop my look here:
