Zofia: The Apple Bottom Fash-hole

Photography by Buck Wilde

Fall is officially here Fash-holes and I couldn't be more excited! I love everything about Fall: the cool, crisp weather, pumpkin flavored everything, gorgeous colored leaves and layers...so many ways to layer. The best part about Fall is that everything in your closet is an option, it's just about mixing and matching pieces to make them weather worthy outfits. A couple of weekends ago, the boy and I decided to take off from the city for the day and go apple picking. We settled for Solebury Orchards in New Hope, PA (which if you haven't been, is a sweet, quaint town along a river with great restaurants and fun little shops). Not only was it the perfect day to go apple picking (except for the first pic, none of these photos were edited!), but the weather and activity called for shorts with knee boots, my all-time favorite combination! To keep the look sweet and cosy, I paired a patterned button down with a plain black sweater and added my newest fave bag for the perfect pop of Fall color. Learn more about my look here:

Shirt: Gap (get the look here)
Sweater: Forever 21 (get the look here)
Shorts: H&M
Boots: Nine West (get the look here)
Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target (*NOTE: I do not promote buying one of these bags off ebay for wayy too much money, but it is the only place they are available online. BUT I will let you in on this tip: visit your local Target and ask if there have been online returns of the bags. If they have been returned, then most likely they have also been marked down by like 50%. Don't know why this is Target's policy, but it is. I got the the large tote for only $25 because someone returned it from online. And the smaller bags, like mine pictured here, were going for $12!)

Ashley: The Transitioning Seasons Fash-hole

Photography by Zofia Glenn

Happy first day of Fall Fash-holes! This is my favorite season because it means layers, boots and pumpkin flavored everythingggggg. Though it is officially Fall, the weather keeps jumping around on us here in Philly-it is hot, is it cold?? ahhhh! This is why it is important to know how to dress for these unpredictable temps, and Ashley is does just that. With her fun, flirty crocheted white dress and perfectly Fall-esque brown cowboy boots, Ashley is transitioning from Summer to Fall in pure style. The long flowing locks (in a gorgeous color) and the over-sized aviators give her a very bohemian vibe, while the Burberry bag and chunky gold jewelery keep her urban cool. The mix is Summa-Fall, Hip-Hippie deliciousness. Learn more about Ashley and her look here:

Zofia: The Coveted Bag Fash-hole

Photography by Buck Wilde

Yesterday was September 15th. Mid-month to some.  Payday for others. For me, and thousands of other ladies, it was go time for the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection. As those of you know, I love me a good designer-mass marketer collaboration and this one did not disappoint. As I am in the throws of wedding saving, I limited myself to one bag. I am happy to report that after staying up til 2am to buy online (gave up and later heard the bags went live at 4:19am...I would not have made it) and then sitting outside of Target starting at 7am, I scored the Pashli look alike mini satchel in mustard yellow and I love it. (I also love the price: original = $650; Target = $35. Yes, it's not leather and yes the quality isn't even close to being the same, but the look is practically identical and feels good that it came from his own design).

For my new little love's first outing, I paired it with this great maroon hat because I love the way the warm colors compliment each other and feel very Fall-ish. Since the weather is transitioning from Summer to Fall, I threw on my trusty distressed shorts with a simple white shell and my most comfortable wool tuxedo blazer. And I am wearing these boots every chance I get and will be all Fall. I'm warning you now. For more details on my look, read below:

Atti: The Philanthropist Beauty Queen Fash-hole

 Photography by Zofia Glenn

I caught this beauty while strolling home from work this Summer. I was taken with her whole white and black ensemble and her ability to look incredibly sweet while also exuding a quiet sexiness. It's a fine line and not one that many can pull off. Once I learned more about her, I can see where it comes from. This lady is not only beautiful and chic, she is also smart, successful and caring, giving back to her country of Ethiopia through her non-profit Seeds of Africa. Zofia: The Sheer Nightgown Fash-hole

Photography by Sheldon Kreiger

Happy September Fash-holes! While we are still in the final throws of Summer (hey, it was 90s this week), I thought I would go back into the archives and post some of my favorite summer looks before Fall finally settles in. This outfit is from a wedding I attended this Summer at the beautiful Philadelphia Water Works for this absolutely stunning bride. I must admit, I love, love, love this whole look and felt like a million bucks in it. The dress was borrowed from my boss and is a vintage nightgown with a simple black slip underneath! And just happened to be that perfect midi length that is a huge trend for Fall and Spring.

The other favorite part of this look was my hair. I went to see Tasha Jetter at AMS Luxury Salon because I heard she was the best (she used to work at the mothership, Bergdorf Goodman) and it was the only spot in Philly with a Braid Bar. Well, I was not disappointed. In less that 5 minutes Tasha had whipped my hair into a wrap around french braid that felt loose, fresh and romantic, but best of all, did not budge the entire night (and I am a huge head whipping dancer at weddings. Always throw my neck out. Always) and was only $20!! Anyways, Philly ladies, I highly recommend you check her out and she now does ponytails too! Learn more about what I am wearing and where to shop my look here:

Zofia: The Seattle Garden Fash-hole

Photography by Lorenda Wleklinski

Hello Fash-holes! How I have missed thee. It has been a hot minute since I last blogged, but I am back up and running with my latest post all the way from the beautiful Seattle, Washington. These photos were taken back in April when I flew to Seattle for my Babcia's (Polish for grandmother) memorial service. I lived in Seattle as a kid, from the ages of 5-9, and visit every few years as I still have family (and now some friends) living there. These pictures were taken in a Japanese garden located not far from where I had lived in Seattle. My mom wanted to go to see if I remembered any of it (I didn't really) and I wanted blog pictures taken because the location was beautiful. Now, my parents both mocked me incessantly for wearing this outfit in Seattle. And yes, I did stick out from all the Northface jackets and hiking boots. But I don't care because fash-holes have to represent no matter where we are ;)

This look mixed everything I was obsessed with at the time: mixed prints, giant felt hat, my E&J silk blazer and the bright blue chain linked cross body bag. I am still obsessed with this hat and am looking forward to Fall if only to wear it all the time. Mixed prints are still fun, but I am digging the now trending matching prints outfits (seems riskier to do a full head-to-toe pattern). And this blazer is an all time fave. Found at a consignment shop in Philly for $49 (hells yeah), I love the soft, light silk and the amazing details in the collar pleats and ornate buttons. When shopping for a classic piece (such as a black blazer), it is always nice to search for those little details that will make the item stand out from the crowd. Find out more about my look here:

Zofia and Friends: The Roots Picnic Fash-holes

Happy Sunday Fash-holes! Today's post is going to be a little different from the usual format as I attended the 6th Annual Roots Picnic yesterday and there were just too many Fash-holes out for me to interview each one. So I am featuring all these ahhh-mazing ladies today along with myself and I threw in a couple of Macklemore and Solange pics at the end because they are both the ultimate Fash-holes. Let me also preface this post by saying how much I LOVE festival wear. It is a no-holds-barred, wear whatever you want environment and I totally dig it. I hope you do to!

My Festival wears all came from H&M and the entire outfit was $50. I call that straight #winning

Keeping it classy with an on-the-go white wine spritzer

There was no attempt to capture my look in true fashion photog style. Festival looks are about being free to be ridiculous in the best of funky fashions. Here I am showcasing my sick dance moves. I call this one The Bongos.

Pops of color with the boy <3

These ladies look so good together! One in bright tie-dye and the other working the neutrals. Sick. Follow these bad ass ladies on Tumblr at Chocolate UrbanEssence

How amazing is this Lady in Red?! I'm obsessed with that dress. And she is a fashion designer. With style like that, I would hope so!

It was over 90 degrees yesterday and this gal dressed perfectly for the weather. I love the mustard tank with animal print shorty-shorts. And that hair...my dream hair! Love it all. She is also a fellow blogger! Check out her out at Technicolor Muse

These fashonistas came all the way from Toronto! And they look incredible, eh? One is working the black and white trend to a T (and those skull slippers!!), leopard print always works and that maxi skirt is so sick and those orange pants. I could go on for days about those pants. It was the perfect place to rock them. And they were styled perfectly. Not an easy thing to do. Work it ladies!

This woman looks so effortlessly pulled together, I had to stop her. The loose, open long sleeve blouse and graphic shorts are a perfect pair.

These three hailed from Brooklyn and were killing it in polka dots, gold and sheer lace. And the middle girl has a fanny pack. Oh yes, they are back and her gold sequined one is the best I have seen yet!

These were the coolest chicks at the festival. They reminded me of my besties from Asheville. They were both so effortlessly cool and nice. My kinda Fash-holes. And how adorbs is that sun hat?! LOVE!

Best pose of the day! And this look reminds me of Fruit Stripe Gum...in the best way possible. With a body like that, she can basically wear whatever and look amazing. I'm just happy that the whatever this day was neon stripes and combat boots!

How someone can look so angelically beautiful in scorching hot heat is beyond me, but this gal makes it look easy! I love how girly and sweet she looks and then offsets it with that killer thick gold chain. And the sandles...I want them!

Oh, you know. Just Macklemore walking on the crowd. I imagine this was what it was like to witness Jesus walk on water.

There is nothing I do not love about Solange. I love her music. I love her dance moves. I love (LOVE) her hair. And this is my mixed prints icon. No one can mix prints like this lady. Pure perfection.
